Thompson Painting Co. has been family owned and operated since 1975. Bernie Thompson entered the painting business in 1970, establishing his company in the area of Lake Tahoe, California. In 1975 he received his state of California contractor's license, and in 1976 he received his Nevada state contractor's license. While painting condominiums, casinos, custom houses, tract homes, ski-area chair lifts and motels, the business grew to over 45 employees. In the early 1980s Bernie relocated to San Diego and re-established his painting business to be closer to family and friends. In ramona, our projects have included residential repainting, steel freeway structures for Cal Trans, commercial buildings, homeowner association projects and custom estate homes.
